Sarah Ameri, MA, LAC, NCC Sarah is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Associate Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor, with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University. She has experience working in an in-patient facility, community mental health clinics, mental health private practice, and volunteering at a veteran’s hospital. Sarah is passionate about working with veterans, adults, and teens. Sarah has experience working with individuals who struggle with trauma, stress management, substance abuse, grief, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, other mood disorders, and borderline personality disorder. Sarah strongly believes that a solid therapeutic relationship is crucial to working with clients and in promoting growth and change. She believes in seeing and treating the whole person; thus, taking on a multicultural perspective to address each client individually. Sarah comes from a cognitive behavioral approach and a solution focused approach. Sarah works to provide a safe, caring, compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment for her clients.
