Rachel Ochieng, MA, LAC Rachel Ochieng is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental health Counseling, and a B.Sc. in Psychology from Colorado Christian University. She holds a National Counselor Certification. Rachel comes to us with a wide range of experience having worked in private practice, community partial care programs and a hospital psychiatric intensive care unit. Her experience involves working with clients of all ages ranging from 4-65. Her approach to counseling is solely person centered, because she is a big believer in the WHOLE person as opposed to focusing on the mental challenge. She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral therapy. Rachel has however learned that she is more eclectic by tailoring techniques to the individual need. She will collaborate with clients to set measurable and achievable goals, discover healthy ways to cope with their challenges, learn how to communicate assertively and understand their own mental health challenges.
