Rachel Ochieng, MA, LPC Rachel Ochieng is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental health Counseling, and a B.Sc. in Psychology from Colorado Christian University. She holds a National Counselor Certification. Rachel comes to us with a wide range of experience having worked in private practice, community partial care programs and a hospital psychiatric intensive care unit. Her experience involves working with clients ranging from ages 12-65. Her approach to counseling is solel person centered, because she is a big believer in the WHOLE person as opposed to focusing on the mental challenge. Rachel is eclectic in her style of counseling, by tailoring techniques to the individual need. However, her most utilized techniques have been Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Strength Based Therapy. Rachel also provides Christian Counseling for clients seeking faith based counseling. She will collaborate with clients to set measurable and achievable goals, discover healthy ways to cope with their challenges, learn how to communicate assertively and understand their own mental health challenges.
