Melissa Stofey, LPC Melissa Stofey is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She obtained her bachelors degree in psychology from Misericordia University and Masters degree in Counseling from Seton Hall University, as well as an Ed.S in professional studies. She completed her internship at Newton Medical Center's Acute Partial Hospitalization Program until her graduation from Seton Hall in 2015. Melissa then began working at Catholic Social Services in 2016 working with individuals struggling with substance use/mental health concerns. Within CSS she has worked with homeless veterans struggling with mental health and substance use issues. She also worked in their outpatient facility full-time, as well as part time work with inmate at Pike County Correctional Facility doing individual, group, and couples therapy for adolescents and adults. Melissa has experience working as a clinician with adolescents in the school setting for Effective School Solutions as well. Her treatment modalities include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered/Client Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
