Diana Torsiello, MA, LAC, NCC Diana received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Public Health at Montclair State University and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is currently a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) by the state of New Jersey as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Diana has experience working with various mental health disorders and presenting problems amongnon-profit, residential, school, and private practice settings. Diana currently offers both individual and couples counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. She provides an empathetic and supportive presence in a safe, comforting, and non-judgemental therapeutic space. Diana prides herself in her ability to effectively develop therapeutic rapport, actively build a level of trust, and foster healing and growth among her clients.
Diana utilizes an integrative approach to counseling in order to best meet the unique needs of each client, however predominately utilizes theoretical orientations such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Positive Psychology, and techniques derived from both Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Gottman. She also enjoys incorporating mindfulness-based practices, art therapy techniques, and play therapy techniques.
