Dana Shabo, LSW Dana Shabo is a Licensed Social worker in the state of New Jersey. She earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. Her experience includes providing individual, group, couple and family counseling. Dana has seven years of experience working in various settings including partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, school counseling programs and traditional outpatient therapy. Dana’s experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults. Her experience includes working with individuals with depressive, anxiety and mood disorders, behavioral issues, self-harm, body image struggles, relationship and family conflicts as well as difficult life transitions. In order to meet each individual’s needs, Dana incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused therapy and psychodynamic approach. Dana provides a comfortable and supportive environment where clients can learn to utilize their strengths to help work through challenges and reach their goals.
