Catherine Bonassisa, LSW Catherine is a Licensed Social Worker with over a decade of experience serving individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Catherine earned her Master’s degree from Rutgers University, graduating with highest honors.
Catherine uses a holistic approach in working with clients, honoring the deep connection between emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. She believes that true healing begins when we align the mind, body, and spirit. Grounded in a strength-based philosophy, Catherine helps individuals recognize their inner resilience and the innate power they already carry to heal and grow. Catherine has experience supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, domestic violence, and substance use.She also supports individuals navigating a variety of other mental health challenges.
Catherine’s therapeutic approach is personalized and integrative, drawing from a range of evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of each client. She understands that every individual is different, and what works for one person may not be effective for another. Catherine’s methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Christian Therapy. She is also certified as a Sylvotherapy Practitioner, (Forest Therapy).
