Post-Doc Fellow
This provider is a permit holder in the state of New Jersey, who specializes in evidenced-based treatment of anxiety, depression, stress management, emotional regulation, behavioral difficulties, substance abuse, and personality disorders. She works closely with children, adolescents and adults presenting with a diverse range of life challenges. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and mindfulness she helps her clients to form a sense of self and reach their full potential. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Montclair State University and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Elizabeth University. She also earned her Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology from Saint Elizabeth University where she completed her dissertation on Mental Health and Psychospiritual Factors Associated with Significant Medical Diagnoses. During her training, she worked in multiple community outpatient mental health facilities that specialized in mental health and substance abuse related issues. She also worked in a school-based setting where she helped high school-aged students navigate academic and social stressors. She focused on providing individual therapy and facilitating groups while providing psycho-education. During her post-doctoral fellowship, she worked with clients who were involved in motor vehicle accidents and work- related injuries. She instructed them through meditation and heart rate variability biofeedback to use as coping mechanisms. During her postdoctoral experience, she was able to gain experience in conducting neuropsychological and psychological evaluations. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), New Jersey Psychological Association (NJPA), and Morris County Psychological Association (MCPA). She continues her training and education by attending conferences and other training sessions. She values the therapeutic relationship she develops with her clients through demonstrating empathy and unconditional positive regard. She believes in allowing her clients to fully express their thoughts and feelings in order to help empower them to achieve their goals.
